Welcome to the Slocum Volunteer Fire Department!
Our purpose is to save lives and protect the property of our citizens, as well as to serve the community through fire prevention, inspections, and community involvement.
Slocum, Texas is located in East Texas approximately 13 miles southeast of Palestine, Texas in southern Anderson County. Our department covers a 137 square mile district, including ranch land, oilfields, hunting areas, and parts of the Neches river area. The fire department responds to fire emergencies, EMS calls, and rescue calls.
Meetings are held every Monday at 6:00 PM at the Slocum Fire Station. Business meetings are held on the first Monday of every month.
